- an ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
- an ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
- an ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;
- an ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and
- an ability to function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
College Establishment Date

a middle institute
The college was established as a middle institute in 1973

a higher institute of electricity
then it was converted into a higher institute of electricity in 1985

College of Electrical and Electronics Technology / Benghazi
according to the previous decision of the General People's Committee No. (854) for the year 1985. The institute was later transformed into a college by the previous decision of the General People's Committee No. (534) for the year 2009, regarding the transformation of some higher vocational centers into colleges for higher technical education. It was named the College of Electrical and Electronics Technology / Benghazi, according to the previous decision of the General People's Committee for Education and Scientific Research No. (148) for the year 2010, regarding the naming of technical colleges.
